The BBC presents a video report on a supermarket in Germany who are trialling a whole lot of technology based innovations to the shopping process; consumers use their cameraphone to photograph barcodes of the items they get as they traipse round the shop – a reader aggregates the barcode scans at the end, producing a new code that can be paid for via card, radio waves from a cell phone or fingerprints…

Is it just me or does that robot seem like it’s trying to talk to the bikes in one shot?
